We had a fun-filled Easter weekend! Grandma Janet, Aunt Rachael and her boyfriend Tyler came to visit. Egg dying fun below.
Easter morning, this is the basket the Easter bunny brought for Elijah.
Elijah LOVED finding the Easter eggs.
Oooh a giant egg with a choo choo train in it.
He really wanted to put it in the carton too.
Later we made rice crispie eggs with chocolate cake balls in the middle.
Elijah loved eating them!
We have a park just around the corner, so we all ventured out to play.
Elijah helped to make Grandma Carol’s bunny cake.
The Saturday of Easter weekend we went to the All Aboard Cafe to celebrate his cousin Jack’s 3rd birthday. It is a brilliant concept, a whole restaurant about trains! All of the kids sit at the counter and a little train drives around and brings them their food. Elijah was fascinated! He actually sat in this chair all by himself.
Here is Jack the birthday boy and his train cake (made by me).
Better shot of the cake…

Jack’s dad Aaron who works with my Aaron, and his youngest, Andrew who is almost 1.
Elijah and daddy and someone’s phone.
Kiss for daddy
We had our 20 week ultrasound this past weekend for Zimmerbaby #2. Technically I was 22 weeks. Aaron and his mom Janet came along. While waiting in the waiting room we considered a last minute change of mind on finding out the sex, but decided to keep it a surprise in the end. There are 10 fingers and 10 toes, so we are thrilled! Below is a profile pic showing the lips and nose very clearly. The little bubble below the chin is an arm/hand.
Another profile shot, again the bubble is a hand/arm. The baby kept the hands and legs up by the head the whole time.
I loved this one. It’s hard to see but at the bottom of the black space you can see baby looking straight at you. There’s a nose and lips.
Arm and fingers. So cute!
I just loved seeing the baby this way. He/she moved around so much! If you’re curious what Elijah’s ultrasound pics looked like at 20 weeks click here.
We had our first warm weather day of the season last Sunday. We ate breakfast on the patio and busted out Elijah’s water table that he got for Christmas. Boy did he have fun!
After lunch, our friends and former neighbors the Fulkerson-Smith’s came over. Jackson and Elijah had a blast with the table.
Jack, Andrew and Megan came to visit us and see our new digs! The boys playing with toys, what a mess!
Little Andrew is 10 months I think and he started crawling up the stairs! We couldn’t believe it!
