Elijah is 8 months old! He is very close to crawling and loves to play on the floor and roll around. The boy loves piano but i’ll do an entire post about that separately. He is so curious about the world around him. He loves to pound on things with his hands, everything becomes a drum, tables, books, laptops you name it. He is saying Mamamamamamama and Dadadadadada and Bababababa all the time but I don’t think he’s made the connection yet with the meaning. He continues to be a happy baby most of the time and we are enjoying every minute.

January 19th, 2010Elijah’s First Christmas
January 19th, 2010Yeah, I know it’s January 18th. We’ve been busy and i’ve been a bad blogger. Better late than never. We had a wonderful Christmas holiday this year. It started in Kentucky where we traveled for a funeral for Aaron’s great uncle Don Henrickson. Here is Elijah with Grandma Janet.
Plato came with us too for the holidays. Aaron is trying to teach him how to be a horse.
There was another baby in the family who was only 4 days older than Elijah. They kept trying to take each others pacifiers, it was adorable.
Here is Elijah with his Great, Great Aunt Janice Henrickson.
Grandma kisses
Elijah and Grandpa Guy and second cousin Zach Ergo.
Then we headed to Bowling Green, Ohio where Aaron’s parents live. Here is a shot of Elijah getting a bath in the sink.
Daddy kisses!
We celebrated Christmas at the Zimmerman’s before heading up to Michigan. We plopped Elijah down in front of the tree and he immediately decided to take a taste.
This is an adorable stocking hat that Grandma Janet knitted for him. It came with matching mittens too!
Dinner break! Elijah is also showing off his little booties that Grandma Janet made him.
These are matching outfits that Janet found for Grandpa Guy and Elijah, it reads “Little Guy” and “Big Guy”
Here they are sporting their new duds!
Another bath with Mr. Turtle.
Snuggling with mommy.
The boy cousins, Zach and Alex Ergo and Aaron and Elijah.
On Christmas Eve we headed up to Saginaw, Michigan to Elijah’s Great Grandparents (Carol and Jack Ergo) home. Here is Elijah with GG Jack Ergo.
And with GG Carol.
Aaron and his sisters Rachael on the left and Emily in the middle.
The Christmas morning tradition in the Ergo home is for all of the kids to wait at the top of the stairs. Everyone runs down at once to find the pile of gifts Santa brought them.
This was Elijah’s pile from Santa.
He of course liked the paper the most.
Baby’s first piano!
Little Santa Elijah with the big guy
The day after Christmas we headed up to East Tawas, Michigan to visit Grandpa Guy’s parents. Here is Elijah with his Great Grandpa Jack Zimmerman.
And with Great Grandma Jane.
And with his Great Uncle John.
Back in Saginaw GG Jack Ergo showed Elijah how to play the indian drum.
Back in Bowling Green, we took Elijah to his first storytime at the Libray. He loved the bear puppet!
Random naked picture. He LOVES to be naked!
And for the last picture Elijah attempting to crawl. He’s getting closer! We had a wonderful trip and made great memories for our baby’s first Christmas!
7 months old
December 21st, 2009Elijah boy (as we often call him) is seven months old and has been for a few weeks. I apologize for the lack of posts, my computer died. Elijah continues to be a delightful baby. He is very distractible these days and curious about everything. He LOVES Plato (our dog) and smiles every time he sees him. He is sitting up well and likes to sit and play with his toys. Solid foods are going well but he absolutely LOVES bananas. When I feed him anything else I have to encourage him to open his mouth to eat. But with bananas, he holds it open as if demanding more. He has recently begun the first signs of scooting on his belly.
Our baby parade shots are getting more interesting as he becomes more mobile. Enjoy!
6 Month Photos
November 22nd, 2009We recently had Elijah’s 6 month photos taken by our awesome photographer Allison in Blue Springs. www.allisoncarenza.com
He hadn’t napped before the shoot like we planned so he was a bit mellow at first. As soon as the clothes came off he was giggly and laughing like he usually does. This baby LOVES to be naked! Enjoy!

November 17th, 2009Elijah Wolfgang Zimmerman is 6 months old. He is a delightful little baby. His fun little personality makes us smile everyday. He is sitting up on his own and rolling over. His favorite things to do are; grabbing his feet and pulling off his socks, watching Plato our dog, hanging out with Daddy and taking his pacifier out of his mouth and attempting to put it back himself. He wants to touch anything and everything within his reach. If he can get his hands on it, straight into the mouth it goes (just like the monkey in the picture below), I love how he looks at the world around him as if there is so much to see and explore. Enjoy the photos!

November 15th, 2009Our Pumpkin
November 5th, 2009Here is the little pumpkin all dressed up for his first Halloween. Grandma Janet bought this costume last year when I was pregnant. It’s actually size 12 months but fit him perfectly. I love how he’s holding his foot up so we can read the bottom “My First Halloween”.

The whole family outside Grandma Rene and Grandpa Larry’s house. Aaron and I were both able to dress up as our favorite things. He is a Star Wars fanatic and I adore Elizabethan England.

“Hello there Darth. What are you doing here and not hanging in my crib with Yoda and Bobafet where you belong?”

Matt and Andrea’s Wedding
October 22nd, 2009My little brother got married last weekend. I can hardly believe it. It was a beautiful wedding! Here is the happy couple dancing. (The pictures are a bit out of order)

Toast!
Cutting the cake made by yours truly!
Me and my little guy.
Our little family.
Elijah with his great grandma Gladys Tyree.
Luckily Aaron’s mom and sister were in town for the wedding. They were a HUGE help the entire weekend. They watch Elijah for us during the wedding activities. Elijah fell asleep on Rachael. I couldn’t believe it he never sleeps like this anymore.
Elijah and Aunt Rachael. I am in love with his little Gap outfit. I had to splurge for the wedding!
Elijah and Great Grandpa Alan Tyree.
This was taken during the ceremony. I was super nervous that he would start crying during the ceremony. I was a bridesmaid and Aaron was a groomsman so he hung out with Grandma Janet. Thank goodness it was outside so there were plenty of exciting and distracting things for him to look at. He was perfect!
