Elijah’s first day of PDO (Parent’s Day Out) at the Celebration preschool in Naperville. His teacher, Ms. Kathy is also his Kindermusik teacher whom he adores. Each child gets a bag to carry their things in. We decorated his bag so he’d know which was his. Complete with Woody and his name.
One day, we decided to fly a kite, Elijah was learning about diamonds that week. So Aaron bought some supplies and he and Elijah made a homemade kite.
But it turns out you need wind to fly a kite. So we had fun playing on the playground instead.
I’ve been wanting to do some basic learning activities each week with Elijah but had a hard time finding age appropriate activities until recently. I stumbled upon the http://www.teachyourtot.blogspot.com and I love it! They have a new theme for each week and lots of activities to go along with it. There are crafts, books, food activities, songs, etc. It’s exactly what I was looking for. Here are a few pics from some of the last few weeks.
Lady Bug week – we made ladybug cupcakes!
Frog week – Painting a paper plate green to make a froggy.
Sunshine week – Eggs on the sunnyside
Face week – Pancake faces
Butterfly week – painting butterflies with water colors
